PGA Junior League Golf 2021

PGA  Junior League Golf is a fun, social and inclusive opportunity for boys and girls ages 13* and under to learn and enjoy the game of golf. Much like other recreational league sports, participants wear numbered jerseys and play on teams with their friends. PGA Junior League Golf utilizes a popular scramble format that creates a nurturing environment for learning and development.

Each team is captained by a PGA or LPGA Professional, who serves as the coach and is at the forefront of creating a welcoming environment for all to enjoy the game. StonyCreek’s 3 teams are coached by our PGA Golf Professionals John Van Valer, Bill Van Valer, & Kevin Sopoci.

Nationally there are over 50,000 players on over 4000 teams and in Indiana there are over 100 teams. In 2019, StonyCreek expanded to 3 teams and The Sagamore Club did the same. Given that the two courses are across the street from one another, our league became the 6 teams on 166th street. The first annual 166th street cup was captured by the Sagamore Stingers who won league league championship with an undefeated 5-0 record.
