Thank you for your support and patronage during the 2014 golf season.  The year has seen superb playing conditions on both courses, a celebration of our 25th season, a new tee box on #9, and Owner Sam Taylor concluding his term as President of the Indiana Golf Course Owners Association.

Golf course conditions in 2014 were terrific from the start of year all the way through the Fall.  The mild summer combined with the typical tremendous effort and expertise of Superintendent Dave Padgett and staff brought us ideal playing surfaces all season.  Their largest project was turning the forward tee box on the 9th hole into two separate teeing grounds, one for the silver tees and one for the red.  The increased number of players utilizing the silver tees will lead to further such projects in the coming seasons.  The other coming project that will change the look of the course is the removal of over one hundred ash trees that have been killed or damaged by the Emerald Ash Borer.  The insect that has affected much of Indiana found its way to StonyCreek and took its toll.  We have begun the tree removal already of those most greatly affected  and will continue through the winter.  Thankfully the trees that need to come down will have little to no effect on how any of the holes play.

The 2014 Club Championship saw a former Champion reclaim the title.  Mike Tomlin captured the Championship Division 10 years after his last title in 2004 by defeating four time champ Tyler bale.  Greg Carney pulled off a first in club history by winning multiple divisions when he took both the Super Senior and Net trophies.  First year member Horst Muehlbronner won the Senior Division.  Thanks to all who played and good luck in 2015.  Also in the works for 2015 is a brand new member tournament series.  More details coming this winter.

2014 marked the end of StonyCreek Owner and architect Sam Taylor’s term as President of the Indiana Golf Course Owner’s Association.  Sam served as president of the association for 3 years and helped the organization continue its role as a major voice in the golf industry.

For the third year in a row, StonyCreek was named one of the Top 50 Public Driving Ranges in the country by the Golf Range Association of America for our many programs and efforts in junior golf and growth of the game.

Enclosed you will find information on Golf Passes for 2015.  We have all the same offerings as last year which include the Discount pass, Weekday Pass, Season Pass all of which include 1 free round, a proshop coupon, and a USGA Handicap.  The Full Season Pass has a new lower price for 2015.  For $1700 you can play both courses 7 days a week with cart, or $1950 for you and a spouse or child.  The current prices on all passes are good through the end of January 2015, so stop by or give us a call to get yours and be ready for next season.  Also enclosed is information on our 2015 Junior Golf Camp (ages 7-12) for any young golfers you may know.

From all of us here at StonyCreek, have a safe and happy holiday season, and thank you for being a part our first 25 years here at StonyCreek Golf Club.
